What to wear to your photoshoot...

Booking a family photoshoot is an important milestone for your family so lets plan your outfits so everything is perfect, it’s not everyday that you get professional photos taken!

I’ve put together some easy tips and ideas to help plan what your family is going to wear.

Choose your colour palette...

When it comes to planning a photoshoot, choosing the right clothing can make a huge difference in the overall outcome and feel of your images. One important aspect to keep in mind is color coordination. When putting together outfits for your photoshoot, try to coordinate colours rather than match them. Consider choosing a color palette with 2-3 complementary colors that work well together. For example, if one person is wearing a green shirt consider pairing it with another person wearing a neutral colour like beige or white, and another person wearing a complementary colour like orange or yellow.

In addition to color coordination, consider the style and fit of the clothing as well. Opt for clothing that fits well and flatters your body shape. Please try to avoid wearing clothing with large logos or distracting patterns that could take away from the focus of the image.

I love to work with warm, muted ,earthy and neutral tones.

Think cream, oat. olive, rust, beige, dusty pink,

These tones also photograph beautifully with the environments

I usually photograph in. as you can see from this image Mum has dressed herself in a main colour and the Daughters have matched around her dress, Long flowsy dresses always work well!

Cream, beiges, browns and tans tones work well for beach sessions, the creams and whites stand out beautifully against the blues in the oceans.

For the men, a pair of brown or Khaki coloured shorts work well with nice plain button shirt.

Deep greens, oatmeal tones, Browns and a touch of denim work well!
